Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is situated on the far east corner of the crater rim and offers a fine view of the crater. It has large, well-appointed rooms and is a good value. It has a swimming pool that overlooks the crater. Also, and this is important, there is an up and down road going into the crater nearby.

Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

Situated on the western rim of the crater, the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is a luxury lodge with fine dining and well appointed rooms. Of all the lodges, it is the closest to the main crater descend road.

Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

The Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is a simpler and less expensive alternative to the luxury lodges which are located on the crater rim. The Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is set back from the rim and while it does not offer the outstanding views, it has comfortable rooms and very good dining.

There are also several seasonally set tent camps, like the Lemala Ngorongoro located just below the crater rim and about two miles from the Sopa Lodge. The Lemala Ngorongoro has eight heated tents with hot showers and flush toilets en suite and a separate dining room.
